{"id":417,"date":"2013-09-25T10:53:45","date_gmt":"2013-09-25T17:53:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/warmanloving.org\/site\/?p=417"},"modified":"2022-07-26T17:42:26","modified_gmt":"2022-07-27T00:42:26","slug":"help-me-god-im-a-parent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/warmanloving.org\/site\/help-me-god-im-a-parent\/","title":{"rendered":"Help Me God, I&#8217;m a Parent"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #cc99ff;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The baby was up every 3 hours last night.  <\/span><\/span><\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #cc99ff;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Felt like I hardly slept a wink last night.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Make breakfast, pack lunch, and wash last night&#8217;s dinner dishes (maybe).<\/span>  <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">S<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">ta<\/span>rt the coffee, grab my bag . . . where did I put my car keys last night?<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Drop-off at school by 8 AM. Don&#8217;t forget to pack a snack.<\/span>  <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Running late &#8211; hope there&#8217;s not too much traffic.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Take preschooler to school by 9 AM. Today is Sharing Day.<\/span>  <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Quick meeting with the team, review the budget, conference call at 10 AM, meeting with the boss at 11.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Run to the market and pick up milk, bread, eggs. What do we eat for dinner?<\/span>  <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Presentation at lunch, answer all missed calls, reply to emails, conference call emergency at 2 PM.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Drop off groceries, quick phone call to schedule air condition repair, throw in a load of laundry, wash last night&#8217;s dinner AND breakfast dishes.<\/span> <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Talk to accounting, process paperwork, deal with complaining clients, tighter budgets with greater expectations, more phone calls.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Mommy and Me class with the baby.  Pick up preschooler. Quick lunch &#8211; &#8211; nap???\u00a0Pick up school kids &#8211; snack, homework.\u00a0<\/span> <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Review reports, answer more calls, answer more emails. Another meeting with the boss. Am I a candidate for the promotion? Or will I be the next one cut?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Get ready for soccer practice. Off to dance class.  <\/span><\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Rush home for soccer practice. Have to remember to schedule an oil change this week.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Dinner, bath, check if homework done. Throw wash in the dryer. Wash lunch &amp; dinner dishes. <\/span> <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Dinner, answer email, prep for tomorrow&#8217;s meetings, answer email, bed.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Help me God, I&#8217;m a Mom.<\/span>  <\/em><br><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Help me God, I&#8217;m a Dad.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This scenario may or may not be the pulse of your home, but we are all alike in that we need HELP.\u00a0As we fall into our routines of the new school year, we need to continue to ask the Lord for a discerning heart so that we know how to manage our lives well.
