Dividend: TRADITIONS FOR GENERATIONS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exodus 12:14,17 &#8211; This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a lasting ordinance . . . Celebrate . . . because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. \u00c2&nbsp;Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: \u00c2&nbsp;God tells us to celebrate!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What do we celebrate?<\/li><li>How long did God expect us to celebrate and <em>pass it on<\/em>?<\/li><li>What celebrations do you repeat every year? \u00c2&nbsp;What do your \u00c2&nbsp;children learn about God in these holidays?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deuteronomy 6:2-9 &#8211; . . . so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. \u00c2&nbsp;Hear, O Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your fathers, promised you . . . Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. \u00c2&nbsp;These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.\u00c2&nbsp; Impress them on your children. \u00c2&nbsp;Talk about them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the road, \u00c2&nbsp;when you lie down and when you get up. \u00c2&nbsp;Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. \u00c2&nbsp;Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To make memories last, \u00c2&nbsp;here is a list of our responsibilities as adults:\n<ul>\n<li>hear God<\/li>\n<li>obey God<\/li>\n<li>recognize God is Lord<\/li>\n<li>love Him totally<\/li>\n<li>obey from the heart<\/li>\n<li>impress on your children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><li>Which of these do you do well? \u00c2&nbsp;Which one(s) is(are) hard to do?<\/li><li>Note the four time zones to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153impress\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on children\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6\n<ul>\n<li>when you sit at home<\/li>\n<li>when you walk (drive?)<\/li>\n<li>when you lie down (night time rituals)<\/li>\n<li>when you get up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><li>When are you with your children? \u00c2&nbsp;\u00c2&nbsp;What do you do to impress them about your spiritual realities?<\/li><li>How does your life and home remind your children that God is your God?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deuteronomy 7:9 &#8211; Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>God\u00e2\u20ac&#x2122;s promise to us is long-term. \u00c2&nbsp;Thank him and pass it on to your generation!<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Related Post:\u00a0Gathering Stones and Making Memories Investment: MAKING MEMORIES . . .
